A Bit about Me...
Education has always been something I've been passionate about. I'm lucky to say that I've been able to teach English for eight years across America, and am currently earning my doctorate in English Pedagogy and Literacy from Murray State University. I like to believe that education provides lifelong opportunities for the student, and a collective promising future for a nation. Good, quality education should be accessible for everyone. It's my hope that I can continue to provide quality education for all who seek it-including through the use of this site!
My Work in Namibia
From May 2023 through May 2024, I'll be working with Namibia's Ministry of Education, Arts and Culture to implement their Vision 2030 plan in the Kavango West region. I'll be visiting and working with teachers across the region to help them understand how to utilize a digital curriculum in their English classes, as well as help implement a learner centered ideology and culturally responsive pedagogy. This work will serve as a small part of Namibia reaching their vision of a "knowledge-based society...where knowledge is created, transformed, and used for innovation to improve quality of life."
